"LES ENFANTS" - PERFORMING ARTS REPRESENTATIVE GROUP OF FUNDACIÓN TALLER DE ANIK
The performing arts group “Les enfants” combines theater, circus, and music into pedagogical experiences and performances that promote children’s holistic development. Inspired by the vision behind Taller de Anik Kindergarten’s experiential pedagogy, this group creates meaningful experiences that travel to different communities where children live and strengthen their sense of belonging.
As a project, it uses theater to provide hands-on learning that helps children develop motor, communication, and relational skills. The plays, being pedagogical theater, not only present a range of human situations that enrich children’s symbolic world and strengthen their connection with their environment but also include artistic workshops. These workshops, tied to the plays’ fables, encourage reflections and learning about life projects, family dynamics, and the importance of dreams. Engaging with these artistic languages fosters autonomy, enhances mental health, and supports cognitive development.
The current members of the representative group are Luis Miguel Muñoz (Actor and Musician), Manuel Perea (Actor and Circus Artist), and Salome Chezette (Actress and Singer). Chezette, Actriz y Cantante
"LA BOLITA" KEEP ROLLING TO BRING ART TO EARLY CHILDHOOD
The musical theater-circus play Bolita, ¿a dónde vas? (“Little Ball, Where Are You Going?”) is a playful journey centered around an object that transforms with each actor interaction. Color, shape, music, movement, and interactions have been carefully designed for young children. During the performance, actors engage the audience with body percussion exercises and live music using various instruments, blending multiple artistic languages. Allegorically, the play shows that happiness doesn’t require many gadgets and that, even when facing obstacles, a playful human spirit can make joy flow as naturally as in childhood.
In 2024, the play was performed at 10 educational venues, reaching approximately 500 students who enjoyed a production meticulously crafted for early childhood. Children interacted with the actors, whose spontaneous expressions of joy created playful opportunities after each show. Teachers and coordinators who facilitated these performances praised their quality and relevance. For example, Herika Alarcón, a teacher at I.E. Liceo Departamental, shared: “It’s very well thought out, with excellent quality in the acting, props, voices, physicality, and spatial awareness. I thank them for considering the needs of our students and delivering such high-quality work… The children were left with ideas, questions, and curiosity—I was so happy to see how much they appreciated it.”
